This week started with our remembrance assembly on Monday.  Many thanks to Mrs Duxbury for leading this assembly for the children.  As a school it has been heart warming seeing our children selling the Poppies within our school every day and setting such a wonderful example to the younger children.  It is lovely to see the enthusiasm of the children involved and also the pride the children take in wearing their poppies.

 

Today we are looking forward to enjoying a day with a focus on peace and remembrance.  I have seen some of the activities in preparation and I know the children will have both an enjoyable and thought-provoking day.

 

A reminder that it is ‘Children in Need’ on Friday so we look forward to seeing the children in stripes, spots or teddy bear related clothing with a £1 donation.

Tomorrow is also a day to bring in Tombola prizes for our Christmas Fair.  We are looking for new or good as new gifts,  bottles, chocolates etc.  Have a look at the PTFA section further on in the newsletter for more details.
