Collective Worship

Our Collective Worship Long Term Plan

Daily Collective Worship takes different forms throughout the week and focuses on one of our worship values each half term:

Monday - Headteacher led (whole school)

Tuesday - Church / Assistant Headteacher led (whole school)

Wednesday - GLOW team / class worship (individual classes)

Thursdays - Worship through singing (whole school)

Fridays - celebration assembly (whole school and families)

Our GLOW Team lead class collective worship by opening the worship and lighting the candle. They also leading a whole school worship each term.

We open every collective worship with the liturgy:

This is the day the Lord has made

-Let us rejoice and be glad in it

The Lord is here

His spirit is with us

Why do we light the candle?

-Jesus is the light of the world, assembly is a special time and we're all special.

We close our worship with the words:

Go in love, go in peace, go in joy.

-In love, in peace, in joy we go. Let your light shine.

In addition, each class has written their own lunchtime prayer and we have a whole school home-time prayer.
