School Meals
Healthy Schools
We are very proud of our National Healthy School status. As part of this standard we encourage all children to eat healthily
Lunchtime
Our school meals are provided by Caterlink, and are cooked freshly onsite. An emphasis is placed on healthy food choices and their award winning menus and the quality of the ingredients they use are all planned to comply with the Government’s Nutrient and Food Based Standards . The school operates a red, green & blue system which enables all children to receive the meal of their choice each day.
Children may also bring in their own packed lunch from home. For lots of useful ideas and advice on packing a healthy lunchbox for your child, please have a look at the Public Health Agency leaflet, 'Are you packing a healthy lunch?' available to download here. Public Health Healthier Lunch Boxes
